Fireside Fundraising is a clan of corporate partnerships and fundraising consultants. We each specialise in different areas of corporate fundraising.
Whether you're working with Lisa to build your case for support or Arlo to build your pipeline, you'll be working with one of the best in the sector at that task - and you know they'll love working with you on it.
Bobette Buster

‘Stories are the fire we carry to each other.’

We’re the agency for you if you’re:
Curious
You’re fascinated by what makes companies tick, and are constantly improving your approach.
Emotional
You know humans are a fundamentally emotion-led species and are willing to lean into this to ensure your donors make the decisions you need.
Action-driven
You’re keen to roll up your sleeves and actually learn by doing, rather than spend months on feasibility studies or navel gazing.
Quirky
You take the work seriously, but don’t take yourself (too) seriously. This allows us to show up as we are.

Our team
You'll always have a single point of contact within Fireside who oversees your project, which will be one of the following faces:

Andy King
Founder & Director
Andy King is the Director of Fireside Fundraising and author of the upcoming Corporate Fundraising and Partnerships book published by DSC. In July 2022, Fundraising Magazine named him ‘the most influential fundraiser in the UK’. Andy’s passion is helping charities tell their most important stories to those with the power to change the ending. This has led him to kickstart corporate partnerships programmes from a standing start to a value of £450,000 per year in 18 months. He has also transformed existing approaches to go beyond ‘logo-led’ fundraising with St. John’s Ambulance, UNESCO and Cancer Research UK. Having worked with charities of all shapes and sizes, he is keen to create the tools that will work for you.

Dana Segal
Consultant
After many years working in the arts and cultural sector, brokering and delivering corporate partnerships with companies such as Disney and Microsoft, Dana became a freelance consultant. In this capacity, she has shaped corporate fundraising strategies for organisations such as Historic England and Southbank Centre, and trained 1,000+ charity professionals in fundraising strategy, storytelling, and behavioural science. Dana's focus is strategy and training: she's driven by helping organisations focus on the opportunities that are right for them, and by inspiring whole teams to get behind corporate fundraising.

Consultant

Lisa Clavering
Head of Client Experience
Lisa Clavering’s charity sector experience is perhaps best summed up as fundraising comms, but that doesn't really do justice to the breadth of her expertise. She's worked solo, client- and agency- side, built telephone fundraising programmes from scratch, and helped develop strategies for household name charities. The common uniting factor, though, is Lisa's skill at using words to inspire people to take action.
Lisa,
Head of Client Experience

Lucy Mitchell
Consultant
Lucy Mitchell's ability to find the information, facts, and gossip you need is second to none. As a co-founder of a small art therapy nonprofit, she understands what it means to fundraise to keep the lights on. As the corporate researcher for Dogs Trust, she also knows the importance of bringing your colleagues along with you. Lucy’s passion for helping people find the information they need has meant working on projects with Sumatran Orangutan Society, Critical Ireland and Nightline. Driven by an equal mixture of curiosity and kindness, she won’t take ‘no answer’ for an answer.
Lucy,
Consultant

Arlo Hilton
Consultant
Arlo Hilton brings a unique perspective to partnerships, particularly when empowering causes seen as ‘challenging to fundraise for’. Arlo doesn’t just look to boost income; they focus on developing meaningful partnerships that achieve wider organisational goals - creating maximum impact for charities and the people they support. Having worked with a mix of charities such as The Children’s Society, Tommy’s, Mermaids and VSO they are an expert in translating complex causes into fundable propositions for strategic growth. Arlo’s work is driven by the belief that the right connection doesn't just raise money - it creates lasting, positive change.
Arlo,
Consultant

Sam Pierce
Diary Manager
Sam is the friendly face behind the scenes, running Andy's diary. She arranges meetings, workshops and appointments, juggling schedules to find those all important diary slots that work for everyone. Sam's a natural organiser and nurturer and is driven by making sure people feel looked after, cared about and supported. She's happiest when she can keep everything calm, organised and running smoothly for everyone, making sure everyone gets the time and attention they need.
Sam,
Diary Manager

Laura Swan
Consultant
Laura Swan has been described as a walking bath bomb. She’s equally exciting and soothing, making her the perfect workshop facilitator. Laura is driven to help your organisation do excellent work, and to make your colleagues feel excellent in the process. Having worked on partnerships from £25,000 to £3 million, supported on wellness retreats for women, and been Director of the Elischer Foundation where she supports fundraising leaders to excel in leadership: Laura understands what makes a project work. As a coach, facilitator and community manager, Laura is excited to create the space you need to breathe and succeed.
