Our Clients
We've worked with charities and universities across the UK, Europe and North America
While we’re often the consultancy of choice for household name charities including Dog’s Trust Ireland, Plan International UK and St John Ambulance, we’ve also worked with a number of small and mid-sized organisations to ignite their corporate fundraising potential.
In the words of one of our clients...
'When we started with Fireside Fundraising, we had a number of ideas for our fundraising - but no coherent tools or plan. Less than three months later, we have exactly what we need. We have a concise, emotional and compelling way of putting across our cause. We have a menu of partnership activities and an idea of how much our partnerships are worth. We have a strong prospect list we are confident will say yes. In short, we're excited to see what this year holds for our fundraising.'
Ian Denison, Chief of Publishing and Branding, UNESCO
We worked with CRITICAL on developing their story-led fundraising approach.
Critical is an Irish charity dedicated to saving lives. Their network of first responders, both qualified personnel and volunteers, can be first on the scene of an emergency providing life-sustaining support, until the emergency services arrive. The rural landscape of Ireland means that there are huge swathes of isolated communities, many miles of winding road away from city hubs, so an on-the-ground network of lifesavers across the country makes all the difference.
We worked with DKMS, the blood cancer charity, to create their corporate partnerships strategy.
DKMS is an international charity dedicated to deleting blood cancer. They provide second chances at life for those in need of a blood stem cell transplant, by recruiting potential stem cell donors. They run a stem cell register and fundraise to cover the costs of this. We worked with DKMS UK, who maintain the biggest stem cell register in the UK, having registered over 1 million blood stem cell donors to date.
We worked with Wikimedia UK (the charity behind Wikipedia) to bring emotion to their fundraising.
Wikimedia UK is the UK charity for global Wikimedia open knowledge movement, including Wikipedia. They work to ensure people have access to reliable information, focusing particularly on knowledge equity, information literacy (including critical thinking skills), and climate and the environment.

'From understanding the theory behind stories and decision making, to the practical break our sessions curating our own stories – there have been so many practical applications to this training. A few months on and our team is equipped with a healthy ‘story bank’ and poses new tools to help us structure stories to ensure they stick!'
Charlotte Philpin, Corporate Partnerships Manager, Fairtrade Foundation
'Fireside did a wonderful piece of work for us around how companies can partner with us on student support. They led workshops which helped to build narratives in which team members could all see their own contributions. We now know how to convey these stories in order to develop stronger and more ambitious partnerships. Thank you!'
John Armour, Dean of University of Oxford Law Faculty
'I honestly think I'll be using the skills I've learned from Fireside for the rest of my fundraising career, whether that's with prospects, donors or colleagues; to get across our cause, the change we can make to the people who need us, and the 'why' and 'what' we're all striving for.'
Vicky Crompton, Proposals Manager at St John Ambulance
