London, Bratislava, Amsterdam… Where are you?

I’m writing this from the lobby of the hotel that hosts the Central and Eastern European Fundraising Conference. I’ve got a few days of mingling with some of the world’s best fundraisers - from as far afield as South Africa’s Nyasha Njela to my literal housemate Josh Leigh - and I cannot wait.

After this week in Bratislava, I’ll be attending the International Fundraising Congress in Nordvijk…which is near enough to Amsterdam that it’s easier to say Amsterdam. Again, I’ll be reconnecting with everyone from Lesley Pinderto Svitlana Pugach - both of whom I’ve raved about in recent emails.

Then, from the 20th October, I’ll be back home in London. Phew! This period of travel is reminding me just how valuable face to face connection, seeing the world and taking a chance to breathe out can be.

So I have two questions

1. Are you at either CEE or IFC?

2. ⁠If so, would you like a coffee?

If you’re not at the events, but you’d like a coffee, let me know when you’re around in London and we’ll try and make something happen. Otherwise, I’d love recommendations for sights to see in Bratislava or Amsterdam: I’ve got a few days of rest in each place in between.
